She qualified at the University of Stellenbosch and graduated with her Ph.D. [research in the field of chronic headaches] in 2003, from the University of the Western Cape.
She has been in private practice for more than 40 years, with a special interest in musculoskeletal pain. She has been involved in neuromusculoskeletal health in university programs, projects of the SASP, and several CPD courses. She has published several academic papers and non-academic articles and has presented papers at many national and international conferences.
