Discussion guidelines

These rules help keep discussions useful, civil, and easy to moderate.

Keep it civil

Criticize ideas, not people. Avoid name-calling, personal attacks, inflammatory replies, and responding to tone instead of substance.

Add value

Before posting, ask whether your reply adds to the conversation. If you are unsure, take a moment and try again later.

Keep it tidy and on-topic

  • Post in the right place and stay close to the discussion topic.
  • Do not cross-post the same thing multiple times.
  • Check whether an active discussion already covers your topic.
  • This is not a support channel. Use Help for support questions.

No spam or self-promotion

Posts that are only links to products, blogs, articles, or unrelated services may be removed.

Use care with language

Profanity, harassment, broad offensive generalizations, and intentionally provocative posts may be held for review or removed.

Do not copy and paste without credit

If you did not write it, cite it clearly. Do not paste uncited material as your own contribution.

If you see something, say something

Use the report controls when something looks like spam, harassment, misinformation, or otherwise needs moderator review.
